Eddy Temple-Morris has championed Honeyroot's version of Love Will Tear Us Apart from day one. Here's what he has to say about it:
"Remixing or re-recording perfection has its drawbacks...the proverbial poison chalice....and there are some tracks you just don't want to touch because they have too much emotional baggage.
This could have been a nightmare. Which makes it all the more special that Honeyroot/Glenn Gregory (one of the voices that made me the man I am) hit the nail on the head with this Joy Division cover.
They succeeded where the mighty Cure, and others, failed. I've had nothing but positive and often superlative reactions to this track.
I find myself saying 'knee trembling', 'breath taking', 'jaw dropping' when I talk about it on the radio...it's that good, it's that special, it makes me fall in love with the track all over again...but the love is even deeper than before because I don't have teenage hormones getting in the way...my feelings are true and entirely honest these days..and I know I LOVE THIS TRACK. I would marry it.
Shoot me for saying so if you like, but for me it's true...it's even better *gasp* than the track I fell in love with all those years ago. "
