Introducing Honeytrap by Leo Abrahams...

May 26th, 2005
Honeytrap is a dynamic collection of innovative, melodic and atmospheric instrumentals, showcasing the talents which have helped keep this 27-year-old in constant demand. Leo's discography reads like a Who's Who in music: he has spent the last five years as Ed Harcourt's guitarist, has played on several film soundtracks, including Ocean's Twelve, and has also worked with Brian Eno, Paul Simon, Grace Jones, Nick Cave, Imogen Heap, Rashid Taha, Sarah Cracknell, Nik Kershaw and Thirteen Senses amongst others.

An uncompromising musician, this former student of the Royal Academy of Music's main objective for Honeytrap was to create an album of pure music unaffected by commercial considerations and agendas. Leo wanted to keep all the sounds 'real', rejecting conventional recording techniques like sampling, sequencing and computer effects, instead relying more on ambient sounds generated by guitars, cellos, trumpets and ethnic percussion.

This is a beautiful album which takes the idea of a 'guitar' album to a new level. We will be previewing more tracks over the coming weeks.
