Great music by great artists provides the ultimate soundtrack - not soundbite - to your life - the highs, the lows and the spaces in between.
Save the album isn't about "records" as such at all - although we at Just Music remain committed to combining our artists' music with beautiful visuals as part of the overall experience - its about encouraging our artists to make music that we can listen to again and again and again as a complete work and to find ways for our artists' music to be heard and experienced. Can you imagine only ever reading certain sentences from books, or only ever watching certain scenes from films? Worse still imagine if this were the only way that books or films were made readily available!
From Beethoven's 5th to OK Computer there are musical works that deserve space for the artist to create the musical platform, the atmosphere, the statement and the mood - and that deserve the time from us to experience that body of work, to let it live and breathe with us and to let us live and breathe with it.
In a world where the attention threshold has become inversely proportional to the speed at which things are everfaster, Just Music wants to protect an artform that - like great books, great films and great sports teams - is far greater than the sum of its parts.
In music, as in life, the notes and the spaces in between are equally important.
If you would like to add your support and/or any comments to our Save The Album campaign we would be delighted to hear from you. (We do recognise that it may not be up there with Save The Planet and Save The Whale but nevertheless for us at Just Music it's a close run third…
Thanks for listening,
