Happy New Year! 2016 was another great year for the label. We released Marconi Union’s 9th studio album, Ghost Stations, to great success (“one of the finest electronica releases of the year” Louder Than War) and to celebrate its 15 year anniversary, we released a remastered version of Jon Hopkins’ debut album Opalescent as a special vinyl edition.

Last year also saw Marconi Union’s track Weightless (watch the video below) continue to make phenomenal waves around the world. Claimed to be “one of the most popular ambient tracks of all time” and to reduce anxiety by up to 65%, here’s a little summary of some its achievements:

• 13.25 million Youtube views on the Official Video, with nearly 1 million on the special 10 hour version
• 12 million Spotify Streams
• No. 1 (12th successive week) in the US Official Billboard Charts New Age Digital Song Sales Charts
• No. 11 in the US Official Billboard Charts Electronic / Dance Digital Song Sales Charts (10th week on chart)
• No. 5 in the Amazon Electronic Best Sellers Charts
• No. 15 in the UK Official Indie Album Breakers Charts (New Entry)
• No. 1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart
• No. 36 in the UK Official dance Charts
• No. 4 in Brazil and No 68 in in Russia plus other high chart placements across Europe
